Our introductory pottery class to get you throwing! You’ll discover and practice the basic mechanics of throwing clay on the wheel and the process of glazing.
Cost: $125.00 (inc. gst)
Includes: 2 x classes
Duration: 90mins per class
Create: 2 vessels or 1 large vessel (1 x 300g clay; 1 x 700g clay)

This class is comprised of two classes 4-6 weeks apart.
SESSION ONE: Designed to allow the new potter to discover and practice the basic mechanics of throwing clay on the wheel. Throughout the class, guidance, techniques and methods from an experienced pottery teacher will be shared and discussed and put into practice.
SESSION TWO: Return for the second class 3-4 weeks after the first class and pick from our extensive glaze catalogue and learn the process of glazing.

What if you can't come back a second time to glaze?
No worries at all! Simply choose your glaze combo at the end of your session, and we’ll take care of the glazing for you. For an additional flat rate of $80.00, we’ll ship your pieces directly to your door, fully insured up to $100.00. Rest assured, we wrap all our pottery with great care to ensure it arrives safely and in one piece.

Age Requirements: These classes are suitable for 14+ year olds. Parents are required to attend/partake in class for children under 14-years-old, so don't forget to book in early to reserve your spots. If you wish for your child who might be younger than 14 to attend a wheel throwing class, keep your eye's peeled for our school holiday program where ages 8-years-old and up are able to attend.
6-week intensive wheel throwing course: Once you’ve completed the intro class, you’ll be given a ticket and opportunity to further your passion for pottery and partake in a 6-week intensive wheel throwing course. This course was designed to allow the new potter to discover and practice the basic mechanics of throwing clay on the wheel. Techniques and methods will be shared and discussed and put into practice. Get in touch
Book a day/time for your first & second class. You can either email or book online on our website.

Session one
Attend the studio & create 1 x small clay vessel and 1 x large clay vessel.

Session two
After 4 - 6 weeks, you'll return for a second class. You'll glaze the vessel/s you created at session one. Choose from our large range of imported glazes and learn the process of glazing.

Collect your vessel
Pick up your vessel from the studio or have it posted to you (shipping charges apply).
