16. Clay Temple Co. - Pottery Holding Fee Policy

At Clay Temple Co., we’re thrilled that you’ve chosen to create with us! We understand that life can get busy, and sometimes it takes time to return to pick up your pottery after your class. However, as our studio space is small and we have a large number of students coming and going, we’ve implemented a Holding Fee to ensure we can continue providing space for all of our students' work.

Holding Fee Details:

  • Fee Amount: A holding fee of $25.00 per group will apply to pottery left for pickup after more than 60 days from the completion of a class.

  • Purpose: This fee helps cover the cost of storing your items. As each shelf space is precious and in high demand, the fee allows us to manage the limited storage and continue providing space for all students' pottery.

  • Fee Application: The holding fee will be added to the original cost of your pottery and must be paid before the release of your pieces.

  • Timeframe: If you are unable to pick up your pottery within 60 days, the holding fee will be charged. After 7 months from the completion of the class, Clay Temple Co. reserves the right to dispose of any uncollected items.

We hope you understand this policy, as it helps us maintain the smooth running of our studio and ensure we can provide the best possible experience for all of our students.

17. Weather-related Closures:

In the case of severe weather events (such as tornadoes, cyclones, flash flooding, or bush fires), we will always do our best to accommodate rescheduling of classes/pick-up times. Please keep an eye on our social media channels for updates and weather-related disruptions to our operations.

If you have any questions regarding this policy or your pottery, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team. We’re happy to assist you!

18. Clay Temple Co. - Policy for Students Who Can't Attend the Glaze Session (Domestic Students Requesting Shipping)

At Clay Temple Co., we understand that sometimes life can get in the way, and you may not be able to return to glaze your pottery during the scheduled glaze session. If you are a domestic student who is unable to attend and would like your pottery glazed and shipped to you, we are happy to assist by having one of our experienced teachers hand-glaze your pieces on your behalf. Please note that this service comes with an additional charge.

Glazing Service Details:

  • Glazing Fee: If you are unable to return to glaze your pottery, we charge a $16.00 per person fee for one of our teachers to hand-glaze your pieces on your behalf. This fee covers the time and expertise of our teacher to complete the glazing process.

  • Shipping Fee: If you would like your glazed pottery shipped to you, an additional shipping fee will apply, which will vary depending on your location. The shipping cost will be calculated at the time of your request.

  • Colour Selection: The colour(s) for your glaze will be chosen at the discretion of both you (the student) and the teacher, based on available glazes at the time. If no specific colour is requested, we will typically finish your pottery with a translucent glaze or gloss white glaze, unless otherwise specified.

  • Hand-Glazing Process: Our teacher will carefully and skillfully hand-glaze your pottery, ensuring the best possible finish. Please note that the final glazing may vary slightly depending on the specific glazes used.

19. Clay Temple Co. - Policy for Students have/need to reschedule a class (glaze class inluded)

At Clay Temple Co., we recognize that life can be unpredictable, and there may be times when students need to reschedule their classes. To ensure all students have the opportunity to attend their scheduled pottery and glaze sessions, we have established the following rescheduling and cancellation policy:

  1. Glaze Classes: Rescheduling for glaze classes follows the same policy as our regular pottery classes. Due to the time-sensitive nature of glaze sessions, we encourage students to notify us of any rescheduling needs as early as possible to help ensure a smooth process.

  2. Pottery Classes: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled class will incur a fee. This fee helps cover the preparation costs and reserves the student's spot.

  3. Rescheduling Limit: Students are welcome to reschedule their class as many times as needed; however, a rebooking/administration fee of $30.00 per group applies to each reschedule.

  4. No-Show Policy: If a student fails to attend a scheduled class without prior notification, they may reschedule their session for a $30.00 fee. Please note that it is the student's responsibility to reach out for rescheduling, and Clay Temple Co. will not contact students to initiate rescheduling.

  5. Emergency Rescheduling: In the event of an emergency (such as illness or family matters), we understand the situation may be beyond your control. However, in order to compensate our teachers for their time, a $30.00 rebooking fee will still apply.

By adhering to these guidelines, we can maintain an organized and fair system that benefits all students. Should you have any questions or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
