This class is focused on learning the mechanics of wheel throwing with the use of terracotta as the clay body.
You'll receive guidance & learn techniques from an experienced pottery teacher focusing the class around traditional porous wheel thrown vessels.
*Most garden pots and porous pottery are created using terracotta.

What if you can't come back a second time to glaze?
No worries at all! Simply choose your glaze combo at the end of your session, and we’ll take care of the glazing for you. For an additional flat rate of $80.00, we’ll ship your pieces directly to your door, fully insured up to $100.00. Rest assured, we wrap all our pottery with great care to ensure it arrives safely and in one piece.

Age Requirements: These classes are suitable for 14+ year olds. Parents are required to attend/partake in class for children under 14-years-old, so don't forget to book in early to reserve your spots. If you wish for your child who might be younger than 14 to attend a wheel throwing class, keep your eyes peeled for our school holiday program where ages 8+ year olds are able to attend.
6-week intensive wheel throwing course: Once you have completed the intro class or taming of the terracotta class, you'll be given a ticket and opportunity to further your passion for pottery and partake in a 6-week intensive wheel throwing course if requested (with a discount added). Get in touch
Book a day/time for your first & second class. You can either call, email, or book online on our website.

Session one
Attend the studio & create 1 x small clay vessel and 1 x large clay vessel.

Drying & Firing
Throughout the 4 - 6 weeks your pots will dry in our studio, and receive their firing.

Collect your vessel
Pick up your vessel from the studio or have it posted to you (shipping charges apply).
